I recently made the following claim on Facebook: "The Replacements' Let It Be might be better than The Beatles' Let It Be" and I got one comment in agreement and one in dissension. But the more I think about it, the more I agree (with myself, at the time). The Replacements LP is damn near perfect (hell, even the Kiss cover kills), and if The Beatles had taken the garage-rock approach that the Mats did (which you can hear on the "Naked" Beatles versions), it would be more of a toss-up.
