This is taken from one of my favorite live albums, Live at Max's Kansas City, and it epitomizes what rock and roll should be - sloppy, enthusiastic, dirty and loud. You can hear contemporaries like New York Dolls, as well as the blueprint for early Guns 'N Roses. The only band of the last 10 years that I can think of that can match Johnny Thunders for sloppy, drunken revelry combined with good songs is The Libertines.
