Jenny Lewis has one of those voices that sound great on record, but it's not until you see her in person that you realize just how great it is. I had the pleasure of seeing her at the Hollywood Bowl, opening up for Ray LaMontagne (first act - Blitzen Trapper; hell of a bill). Many bands that play smaller venues just don't translate to places like the Bowl, but her voice sounded amazing, and even my wife, who's not a fan of her album Acid Tongue, was impressed.
